I can walk on water, I can fly! « Thread Started on Jun 13, 2008, 2:50pm »
"Sweet! ATs! I haven't seen someone on ATs in a long time!"
"Woah! How could he pull off that trick?"
"He's coming this way!"
Murmurs came from a group of teenagers as a Storm Rider rode down the streets, sporting a pair of Black ATs with a maroon stripe down the side. His hair was also maroon, and went all the way down to his shoulders. Wearing a black coat and undershirt, both with an emblem saying "Onikage" on them, the storm rider jumped onto a wall and rode along the side, one of his hands touching the wall. He was gliding along the side of the building.
The Storm Rider's green pants flared, easily showing the strange red and orange symbol on the bottom of the legs. Landing on a rail, he began to grind along the rail. The group of teens looked him over, as they soon began to run after him.
The storm rider stopped, and jumped off the rail, doing a flip in the air, before landing on the ground. Turning, he gave a smile at the group as they approached him.
"What's your name?" asked a girl in the group.
Looking at the girl, the storm rider smirked and replied "Hunter, Hunter Kirizaki." before he applied major pressure to his ATs. Soon, he rocketed forward, then just as he was about to crash into a wall, he jumped in the air and started to ride along the side.
Hunter jumped into a crowd of people, and disappeared. Soon, he reappeared on the other side of the crowd, stopping before he spun around and leaned against the wall of a small store.

A flash of russet, orange, and green flashed between two buildings, the sharp whistle of ATs appearing with it. The rider jumped down to the road, and rocketed across the street, riding up the wall of another building. His indigo eyes darted from place to place, looking for somewhere to pull off his tricks. He shot across the roof of the building, and decided that the distance between the one he was on and the next was perfect.
Hideki Oahu pulled down his goggles and jumped, performing his signature Magnolia's serenade. He flipped forward, and twisted slightly as he came down towards the second roof. He landed, moving into almost a split while rolling, and rising back up to twist and turn lazily on the rooftop. As he readjusted his track jacket, Hideki's mind wandered to other things.
I hope Shozo isn't home when I get back tonight. He frowned slightly as he thought of his father.
Or at least, asleep. He jumped off the building he was on, coming down and looking across the street to see Hunter leaning against a building. "Huh." He mumbled, turning left and jumping to ride against the wall of the building, swerving higher and lower on a whim.

Nearby, a girl with white hair and sky blue eyes was reclining on a roof, when she heard some sort of commotion below. Sounds like somethings going on, She thought, sitting up and rubbing the sleep from her eyes. Looking down at the streets below her, she saw to figures darting through the streets, the gentle whirring sounds of Air Treks reaching her ears.
Immediately recognizing the orange and green rider and his "Magnolia's Serenade", she grinned.
"Showoff," she murmured to no one in particular, before she put her goggles down and stood up. Which proved a difficult thing to do on a sloped roof, but she pressed her heels down and bladed off the edge before she would let herself slip.
As she was speeding along the street below, she wondered to herself who that other rider was.

Looking up, Hunter noticed two storm riders, both coming down from atop the roofs. Smirking, Hunter pushed off of the wall, both of his hands in his pockets. As he fell forward, getting closer and closer to the ground, he began to apply pressure to his ATs.
After a while, Hunter was about one foot away from hitting the ground, when suddenly, with a burst of his speed, his ATs rocketed forward, causing him to bend backwards. His hands remained in his pockets as he began to roll from right to left, headed in a straight line.
Soon, Hunter leaned down, grabbing onto his ankles, as he approached a tall building. Jumping up, Hunter took on the appearance of a top, spinning up the side of the building, before arriving at the roof.

Hideki looked over his shoulder, catching sight of Mina. He stopped abruptly. Look who's here! He thought, turning and making his way toward her. "Hey!" He waved, smiling widely and pulling his neon-colored goggles up to rest above his oddly-shaped eyebrows.
"What's up?" He cooed to his friend, stopping near her. A gloved hand ran through his hair, and he pulled out a violet flower petal.
"Dang it." He frowned and flicked it over his shoulder. He repeated this motion, making sure there were no more remnants of his slightly secret hobby.

Mina skidded to a stop at the sudden appearance of her friend. Smiling sleepily, she turned to him.
"Napping, until I heard you and that one other guy. You both woke me up!" She laughed, before turning her head slightly and picking out another petal that was caught in his goggle strap.
"Missed one." She mumbled, holding the petal between her pointer and middle finger for him to see.
"Speaking of that guy..." She said, looking up at the roof he was perched on. Even from here, she could tell that his hair was a deep maroon.
Turning to Hideki, she said "Why don't we go meet him?" and began to skate towards the building at a crawl.

"Stupid flower petals.." He mumbled to himself pretty loudly, and looked up at the building.
"Yeah, we should!" He put pressure on his skates for a moment before shooting towards the building and jumping onto the wall. He moved up the building easily, and landed on the rooftop.
"Hey." He greeted Hunter, countenance changing from his casual to a more serious face. That was Hideki, acting different around people he didn't know as well as his friends... friend. He glanced upwards for a moment to see a lock of hair hanging in his face, a cream flower petal perched on it. He grumbled, snatching the petal and throwing it over his shoulder.

Hunter smiled, turning around. "Mind if I ask you two a question? Do you fly for fun, or fight over territory and emblems?" he asked, as he sat down on the Roof. "I'm Hunter Kirizaki, by the way. I fly for fun. I don't like that so many people worry about gaining emblems and territory." he added. Looking up, Hunter spotted a plane flying overhead. Pointing up, he said "I want to fly as high as that."

Hideki grinned at Hunter. "Me? I fly for fun. I think that it would be interesting to be involved in a team, but I wouldn't skate if it wasn't fun." He took off his jacket and hung it over his shoulder. "I'm Hideki Oahu-" He looked up towards the plane. "and wouldn't we all love to fly that high?" He moved his foot back and forth idly and smiled to himself. "I can only imagine what it would be like to be up there, to be able to see everything down here as if it was a map, laid out for you to study." He grinned, getting the feeling that he didn't have to be that serious with this person. "And when we get that high, we can only aim higher, which is the most exciting part." He chuckled to himself.

Mina swallowed, looking from Hideki to Hunter.
"My name's Mina Kurome. I fly for fun." She said, a touch of nervousness in her voice. She wasn't fantastic when it came to socializing with people she didn't know. The boy seemed nice enough, however; Hideki wasn't being as serious as he usually was with new people. Letting her guard down a little more, she turned back to look at Hunter.
"I agree with Hideki," she said, looking up at the plane flying above the group. "The sky's the limit- I say we all take advantage of that."

Hunter smiled. "You're wrong, my dear. The sky is never the limit! The limit is only based upon how high you're willing to fly, before you come fallign down. For me, I'm willing to fly up to heaven, even if I fall down into hell." Hunter said, applying pressure to his ATs. "Come with me, I want to show you guys a sweet spot to blade." he said, jumping down, landing on the side of the wall as he rolled down at an incredible speed.
As he hit the ground, Hunter started to roll once again, zooming down the street as he turned a corner, with such great speed that he made a woman's dress fly up, causing her to have to push it down.

Hideki smiled at what Hunter said. That makes sense, really. He looked over at Mina for a moment before following Hunter down the side of the building. Hideki pulled his goggles over his eyes, weaving throughout the people on the street and leaving thin, wispy trails of green, orange, and gray light from his Air Treks. He turned the corner, speeding up slightly so that he was only slightly behind Hunter. "New place to blade? I needed to find somewhere." He thought outloud. Doing a lazy twist before continuing to skate normally.

((I'm sorry I'm taking such a long time to respond. I've been really busy with trying to get ready for camp last-minute. This might be my last post for a while, depending on how fast there's a response. I'm going to be at camp from tommorow to next Saturday. D: I hope that's okay.))
Mina took up the rear, and waited a moment for Hideki and Hunter to get a little ahead before she skated down after them.
He's right, She thought. I never really thought about it that way. Hastily avoiding the masses of people, she spun and skidded around the corner Hunter had taken. Noticing her heels were glowing blue, she sped up in an attempt to catch up with the pair.
I wonder where he's gonna take us?

Rolling faster and faster, Hunter flew down the streets, dodging between crowds of people. Some people moved aside to let him by, as he headed towards the location. It was a special place of his. It wasn't really well known, only known by a few Storm Riders.
Soon, Hunter slowed down, arriving at an alley. As he made a final turn, one would come across a huge place, filled with ramps, rails, and many other things. It could be described as a Storm Rider's paradise. But most advanced storm riders probably wouldn't come here, most would seek to ride across roofs.
"I come here a lot. It's a nice place to blade, and has a lot of places where you can perform incredible tricks." Hunter said.

Hideki showed up right behind Hunter. He stopped for a moment, looking the place over before shooting forward and flying up a ramp. He twisted in the air once before coming back down. "This is awesome!" He nearly screamed before moving towards a rail and grinding along it.
"I can see this being somewhere you come a lot, it's perfect." He jumped from the rail and went to another ramp, rolling to the top and hanging on the edge for a moment before coming down it backwards and skating around lazily, thinking of tricks to perform. "Seems like you can do anything here." Hideki stopped for a moment, blowing a strand of hair out of his face.
"Stupid hair.." he mumbled for a moment before reaching into his pocket and fishing around. After a moment or two, he pulled out a black rubber band and used it to bring his hair into a messy ponytail. "Much better!" He started to skate around some more, happy that his hair was out of his way.
